A lovely sunny day in Manipal today. Birds were quite active in my neighborhood from early morning itself. The first and the most vocal were the Jungle Babblers, their vocal chords so strong so as to wake up even those in deepest slumber.I could sight the Brown Shrike, White throated Kingfisher, Black Drongo, Indian Robin, and of course the Red-vented Bulbuls. Somehow I am finding clicking the Brown Shrike somewhat of a bother Even a proper exposure seems to elude producing images that are even reasonably acceptable. I guess I have to learn :-(
Later in the day saw a Cattle Egret perched on a tree. It was quite common to see this species in marshland or in green field. Here is a perching shot, though not unusual still uncommon in my neighborhood.
